The Federal Tax Filing Deadline is April 17, 2012. If you are in a situation, where you might not be able to complete your filing, you may want to consider filing for a 2010 IRS Tax Extension. If you successfully submit IRS Form 4868, you may be granted a six month extension. Your completed IRS Tax Return would then be due on October 17, 2012.

PLEASE NOTE

A tax extension is not an extension of payment. You are still obligated to pay any and all applicable taxes by the original April 17, 2012 deadline, in order to avoid any penalties and interest.
